FIRST LADIES
Before arriving in Morocco, thousands of Sub-Saharan migrant women, who cross the african land on their way to Europe, have to survive a dangerous and violent journey. Sexual violence has become one of the most common forms of violence against migrant women in route, with collective rape and sexual slavery. In Morocco they are illegal and become, mendiants, common criminals and victims of smugglers and human traffic Networks
The hope of a better life for for their family and themselves. is the motivation to carry on. These women give an example of power, force and love for life. They are really “First ladies”. In spite of being prisoners in Morocco, where they cannot work, use public transportation or go to hospital in case of illness, they take care of themselves and their family as “First ladies”.
